Austin, TX - The three men involved in the Cristiani's Jewelry store robbery say that a fourth person planned the heist.
In an affidavit, 20-year-old Damian Rashad Bailey, 21-year-old Jamcon Leeroy Owens and 22-year-old Jeremy Jermain Sayrie say a person, known to them as "Nova," cased the store and lined up a buyer for the stolen goods.
Court documents show that police found a sketch of the Lakeway Commons Shopping Center on Sayrie during a search. The sketch also included a layout of Cristiani's counters and the location of the store's Rolex watches.
Monday morning, Bailey, Owens and Sayrie walked into Cristiani's in the 900 block of 620 in Lakeway. Workers in the shop saw the men acting suspiciously so they called 911. Officers say that's when the men got upset and hit one of the workers before fleeing the store.
Police caught Bailey at the scene. Owens and Sayrie were found later that afternoon in a dumpster at American Mini Storage in the 15000 block of Stewart Rd.
All three are in the Travis County Jail on $50,000 bond.
