Labor Day Watercraft Ban at Lake Austin

Austin, TX - If you're heading to Lake Austin this weekend, leave the personal watercraft behind.
That means no wet bikes, motorized surfboards or other devices like that.
The ban starts Friday at sunset and ends at sunrise Tuesday morning.
The Austin Parks Department says the ban is in place to make sure everyone is safe on the lake over the holiday weekend.
Police will also patrol Lake Austin, urging boaters to follow the law.
