A five-year-old Williamson County boy drowns in the backyard pool.
"We heard sirens, heard the brakes screech, we came running out and have been here ever since," neighbor Leslie Webb said.
Webb looks on as authorities tape of her neighbor's home.
"They had bolt-cutters, breaking open the gate, so it didn't take us long to figure out, we knew they had a pool. We were afraid of the worst."
The Williamson County Sheriff's Office received a drowning call around 5:30 Tuesday evening. By the time responders arrived, it was too late.
"They looked, they saw the child at the bottom of the pool, they jumped in, took the child out, someone went next door to get help," Detective John Foster, with the Williamson County Sheriff's Office said.
That's when a neighbor performed CPR on the five-year-old boy.
Neighbors tell FOX 7 News the homeowners didn't have any kids. They were having family friends over. Authorities say the children playing in the pool were supervised by two adults.
"Even with the parents there. Even with two parents there, four kids, one got away from them, next thing they know the child's at the bottom of the pool," Detective Foster said.
"There's a lot of us mothers here. I told Alicia, she's a nurse, find out what they need and we'll start making assignments to everybody so we can help them out, because it's going to be hard," Webb said.
Williamson County detectives continue to investigate to determine any wrongdoing. Right now, they're calling this a tragic accident.
