Man Steals Stuffed Animal from Arcade

Police have charged Vuong Hoang with aggravated assault of a public servant after they say he tried to run over an officer with his car. The officer was attempting to detain Hoang and another person, Hoa Troung, for stealing a $150 stuffed animal from Dave and Busters.

According to the police report Troung took the stuffed animal and fled the restaurant. Troung then got into a car driven by Hoang. A police officer and restaurant employees pursued the suspects into the parking lot. The officer attempted to get Hoang to stop and exit the car. However, police say Hoang accelerated at the officer who had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.
