Kitty Palooza Promotes Adopting Cats

AUSTIN - Austin animal shelters are trying to get 1500 cats and kittens adopted. The Austin Humane Society and Town Lake Animal Shelter host KItty Palooza at each of their shelters.

The event kick-off starts June fith through seventh at each of the shelters. The adoption fees will be reduced to $35 (regularly $85) and cats over the age of 5 years will have a waived adoption fee.

"We hope everyone will come out this weekend and help us with a successful Adopt a Shelter Cat Month kick off," said Charlie Spinoso AHS Adoption Supervisor.

The Kitty Palooza will feature The Stevie Meower Band, The Dixie Kits, The Purring Stones, Justin Timberlap, and Hannah Meowtana.
