Couple Indicted for Murder

A husband and wife are facing capital murder charges in the death of 39-year-old John Blattner. A Williamson County grand jury indicted the couple Thursday.

Authorities found Blattner's body east of Highway 95 between Taylor and Granger back in April. According to the Williamson County District Attorney two people are charged with Blattner's murder. 28-year-Jennifer Bowen and 41-year-old Charles Bowen each face a count of Capital Murder and one count of Murder.

According to court documents the two suspects got married this January. Bowen is the ex-wife of John Blattner.
The Williamson County D.A's office is not releasing any information on the case. Fox 7 spoke to a couple that lives in the house where Jennifer Bowen used to live.

They say detectives were at their home looking for evidence after Blattner's body was found and then the couple says they got a visit from Jennifer Bowen herself.

"They came out here like four days in a row searching the property, checking the wells, checked the water, all kinds of things." says Nathan Presnell.

"She asked us if we had heard about the guy up the road and we said yeah and she said that was the father of my kids," says Kaitlin Grigsby.

Grigsby goes on to say that Bowen asked questions about the couple's trailer in the front yard and then left in a hurry. Both suspects are in the Williamson County jail on a 1 Million Dollar bond each. If convicted the couple faces death or life in prison.
