Agriculture Commissioner Discusses Obesity Crisis

On Monday Texas Agricultural Commissioner Todd Staples testified in front of the Texas House Committee on Public Health on legislation intended to curb rising obesity rates in Texas.
The Texas Department of Agriculture has a number of nutrition programs that combat obesity. Those programs include the national school lunch and breakfast programs, the child and adult care food program and the summer nutrition program.
