"Revenge of the Buns" Eating Competition

myFOXaustin (Austin) - Many of the world’s top hot dog eaters competed at Coney Island on Saturday but in Austin, the eating contest was done a little differently.
The 3rd Annual Veggie Hot Dog Eating Contest saw vegans, vegetarians and omnivores compete in this year’s “Revenge of the Buns.”
Individuals could compete by themselves or in doubles. Prizes were awarded to those who could eat the most veggie dogs in 12 minutes.
Last year’s solo winner had 21 veggie dogs and this year’s winner Scott Meyers didn’t eat as many, eating 16.
