Safe Kids: Fireworks Safety

Austin, TX - Between June 20th and July 20th 2008. children ages 14 and under accounted for 40 percent of the total estimated fireworks related injuries. Children under the age of five suffered 14 percent of those injuries.

Risks associated with fireworks:
- Burns
- Bruises or cuts
- Scarring from burns, vision or hearing loss
- Death/injuries frmo resulting fires
