Autin, TX - For the past 20 years, the American Cancer Society's Look Good, Feel Better Program has offered women free help and encouragement to cope with the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment.
This month, the American Cancer Society encourages women to not only take preventative measures to avoid breast cancer or detect it early, but to also take advantage of the multiple programs available for women diagnosed with cancer.
The Look Good, Feel Better Program offers tips on skincare, makeup and guidance for coping with hair loss in two-hour workshops conducted by professionally trained cosmetologists.
A free bag of makeup from leading cosmetic companies is also provided for use as learning tools during these workshops.
Kim Baitz, cosmetologist and American Cancer Society volunteer, along with Jody Hopkins, a breast cancer survivor, stopped by Good Day to talk about this program.
