Diabetes and Eyesight

Austin, TX - VSP Vision Care is partnering with the American Diabetes Association and the Texas Optometric Association to launce Eye on Diabetes.

This is a first-of-its-kind national campaign that will focus on increasing awareness and understanding on the connection between eyecare and a persons general health.

The campaign will also highlight the important role eye doctors play in the detection and treatment of diabetes.

On Aug. 27, a fully-stocked 45-foot mobile exam clinic will be at the Texas State Capitol building providing free comprehensive eye exams to low-income, uninsured and underinsured individuals and families who have or are at risk for diabetes.
