Austin, TX - This week’s “Idol” theme was ‘Songs from the Cinema” and while Lauren and Danielle disagreed with Cruz about Jamie Foxx as a mentor, they all agreed with the judges that the duets blew away the solo performances this week.
As for who was the best solo performer of the night, they all chose Crystal’s rendition of “I’m All Right” from “Caddyshack.”
Lee’s performance of “Kiss From a Rose” was disliked by all, but the panel still agrees he will battle Crystal for the “American Idol” title.
Since Michael Lynche had another strong performance with the theme from “Free Willy,” the panel decided he will most likely take the top three slot with Casey James, the lone Lonestar, heading home this week.
Lauren did, however, like Casey’s version of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Mrs. Robinson.”
